Congratulations to everyone who participated in this year’s Outreach Workshop and Showcase. We had a great year and we look forward to seeing you next season.
Elementary and middle school students have the opportunity to come to CVHS and work with theater professionals and high school theater students through theatrical workshops and exercises. This culminates in a showcase performance in May where every student has the opportunity to perform. The curriculum is created by Brent Beerman, CVHS's Theater Director, and the lesson plans are designed by professional actors and directors who are assisted by Mr. Beerman's advanced theater students.
The goal of the program is to develop ongoing theater skills, since many area schools do not have a sequential theater program. We hope to meet the performance needs of elementary and middle school students and provide them an opportunity to develop self-confidence and explore their creativity.
Our next workshop: April 24th. Our focus will be the creation and rehearsal for the May Showcase. It’s very important for you to be there.
Parents -- please do not “drop off your students” at 9:00. Please, bring them into the auditorium and check in with their student director.
